Informed Consent

The documented process ensuring you understand benefits, risks and alternatives before treatment.

Why Informed Consent matters when choosing treatment

A patient's legally and ethically binding agreement to a treatment after being given clear, balanced information about benefits, risks, and uncertainties. Proper informed consent requires time to read, ask questions, and decide without pressure. Clinics offering stem-cell therapy (especially unproven ones) must provide written consent forms covering realistic outcomes, financial cost, and side-effect risks. Red flags: consent given same-day as treatment, forms emphasising benefits only, pressure to decide quickly, or non-English consent if you don't speak the language fluently. Request translated consent in your native language and time to review independently before signing.
