Immunomodulation

Re-balancing an over- or under-active immune response.

Why Immunomodulation matters when choosing treatment

Stem cells' ability to calm overactive immune responses—suppressing inflammation and promoting tolerance rather than triggering rejection. This is especially relevant for autoimmune, inflammatory bowel, and rheumatoid conditions. The mechanism is real and well-documented, but effect size varies widely; not all patients respond, and responses fade over time. When clinics claim immunomodulation, ask for patient-stratification data: which baseline immune profiles respond best? Single case reports are common; ask for cohort data with objective biomarkers (IL-6, TNF-α, regulatory T-cell counts) showing the immune shift persists beyond 3 months.
