Autologous HSCT is substantially more expensive (€35,000–60,000), reflecting hospitalisation, high-dose chemotherapy conditioning, stem-cell mobilisation and reinfusion, and intensive post-transplant monitoring. Baseline assessments (skin biopsy, pulmonary function, cardiac imaging) add €2,000–3,500. Long-term immunosuppression post-HSCT incurs ongoing medication costs.
