How stem cells are studied for Long COVID
Long COVID is a heterogeneous post-infectious condition with combinations of fatigue, post-exertional symptom exacerbation, breathlessness, cognitive, autonomic, sleep, pain and other symptoms. Cell and exosome proposals invoke immune or endothelial modulation, but the syndrome's heterogeneity means a broad mechanism does not establish benefit for an exact product or patient group.
