How long does stem cell therapy for Parkinson's Disease last?
Durability remains uncertain and must be taken from the exact study. Short-term graft survival or symptom change does not show permanent benefit or arrest of neurodegeneration, and results from one cell line cannot validate another.
How stem cells are studied for Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson's disease involves progressive loss and dysfunction of dopaminergic and other neural systems. Research includes pluripotent-stem-cell-derived dopaminergic progenitors intended for intracerebral transplantation, as well as unrelated MSC or exosome proposals. These products, routes and objectives are not interchangeable, and replacing cells does not automatically control the wider disease process.
