Potency

A measure of how strongly a cell preparation produces its intended biological effect.

Why Potency matters when choosing treatment

Potency is measured with an assay linked to a product's intended biological activity. Assays are product-specific, and a laboratory result does not by itself predict clinical benefit. Ask how the assay is qualified and applied to release decisions.
