Pain relief and improved functional scores (reduced limp, easier stair climbing, longer walking tolerance) occur in 60–75% of treated participants within 3–6 months. Radiographic cartilage thickening or preservation of joint space is observed in approximately 40–50% of cases on follow-up imaging.
